Shihezi University’s School of Medicine in China and the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) at the University of Punjab in Lahore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in advanced scientific research and academic exchanges, aligning with global progress in health sciences.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Wang Yuanzhi, Vice Dean of the School of Medicine at Shihezi University, and Prof. Dr. Moaz ur Rahman, Director of CEMB at the University of Punjab. The signing was announced in a press release on Sunday.
The agreement was made possible through the efforts of Prof. Dr. He Cheng, Chairman of the Symposium and a distinguished scholar from China Agricultural University, who played a key role in facilitating this collaborative partnership.
The Pakistani delegation, which attended the International Symposium on Veterinary Vaccine and Drug Technology Cooperation Among the Belt and Road Countries, signed the MoU during their visit to Shenzi.
The partnership aims to promote innovation in health sciences through joint research centers, researcher and student exchanges, and organizing international conferences.
Under the MoU, both institutions will collaborate on various aspects, including technical research projects, sharing academic data and publications, and addressing intellectual property rights.
The MoU will focus on fostering academic exchanges through joint training programs for students and researchers, which will be a central aspect of the collaboration.
