Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York. Both leaders emphasised their shared commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors of mutual interest.
The prime minister underscored the importance of advancing collaboration in trade, tourism, climate change, and education, while also highlighting the need to deepen bilateral trade ties. Chancellor Stocker welcomed Pakistan’s proposals and expressed his own interest in opening new avenues of cooperation.
Both sides agreed to promote tourism by facilitating the exchange of delegations, reflecting their commitment to strengthening people-to-people connections and fostering a long-term partnership.
