The 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair began on Wednesday in Shanghai, focusing on the theme “Open Innovation for New Quality Productive Forces and Sustainable Development.”
This year’s fair is the largest yet, spanning 35,000 square meters. It includes a themed pavilion, a regional pavilion, four specialized technology areas, and two functional zones. Nearly 1,000 companies from about 20 countries and regions, along with 20 Chinese provincial-level regions, are participating – setting a new benchmark in size and innovation quality.
Glasgow, UK, is serving as the overseas Guest City of Honor, while Shenzhen holds the title of domestic Guest City of Honor.
The exhibition emphasizes new and emerging industries, particularly in tech trade sectors like artificial intelligence. Four key zones are devoted to areas such as digital manufacturing and commercial cryptography, green energy and logistics, smart marine engineering, and both consumer and commercial technologies.
Additionally, the fair will feature around 60 expert forums and side events related to technology trade – the highest number of concurrent activities in the fair’s history.
