A spokesperson from the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that the Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states will be held in Tianjin on July 15.
The spokesperson stated that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Communist Party of China’s Political Bureau, has extended invitations to foreign ministers of other SCO member countries and heads of SCO permanent institutions. The participants will hold discussions on enhancing SCO cooperation across various sectors and will exchange views on significant international and regional developments.
The spokesperson also mentioned that, alongside attending the SCO meeting, India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will make an official visit to China.
