President Asif Ali Zardari is set to visit China during the first week of February, where he will hold official discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The talks will center on key global and regional matters, including the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC-2). President Zardari is also scheduled to attend the Winter Olympics in Harbin, China, during his visit, which is expected to last from February 5 to February 7. Around two dozen agreements are anticipated to be signed between the two nations during this trip.
Sources reveal that the visit was initially planned for November 2, 2024, but it was delayed following medical advice after President Zardari injured his foot while boarding a flight at Dubai Airport.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with other relevant ministries, has begun finalizing the visit’s agenda and preparing the agreements to be signed during the president’s stay in China.
