President Zardari stresses strengthening of Pakistan-China relations stressing the deep rooted and all weather friendship between China and Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari stated that China is a trusted and valuable friend of Pakistan, emphasizing the need for enhanced strategic cooperation for mutual benefit between the two nations.
He made these comments during a meeting with General Li Qiaoming, Commander of the Ground Forces of the People’s Liberation Army of China, who visited Islamabad with his delegation.
President Zardari highlighted the deep historical ties between China and Pakistan, which have lasted over seven decades, and affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting China amidst the evolving global landscape.
He stressed the importance of strengthening military and defense collaboration, as well as enhancing people-to-people interactions and cultural connections to bring the two countries closer together.
He also mentioned Pakistan’s efforts to promote the learning of the Chinese language to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The President emphasized that both nations should collaborate closely to address common challenges.
In response, the Chinese Commander reiterated the unbreakable nature of the friendship between the two countries and emphasized the need for joint efforts to combat terrorism.
He also condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan and extended his sincere condolences to the Pakistani government and people.
