President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing its close ties with China in the future.
In a message marking the 74th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, he extended warm greetings to the Chinese leadership and citizens.
He emphasized Pakistan’s intention to deepen cooperation with China across key sectors such as the economy, technology, defense, education, and trade.
The President referred to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a powerful symbol of the enduring partnership between the two countries, noting its beneficial impact on Pakistan’s economy, infrastructure development, and energy sector.
President Zardari underscored the importance of the long-standing friendship with China, calling it a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy. He highlighted that the bilateral relationship has grown progressively stronger over the past seventy years, describing the two nations as “iron brothers” and strategic partners.
He expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their unwavering support during difficult times, and expressed hope for continued collaboration to address regional and global challenges.
