PM Shehbaz pledges peace and prosperity for Balochistan, stressing that both security forces and the people of Balochistan can not tolerate the terrorists in the region.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif urged all stakeholders in Balochistan to unite with the government and armed forces to achieve lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
Speaking at a grand Jirga in Quetta on Saturday, he emphasized that terrorists, who are enemies of Pakistan’s development, must be defeated through collective unity.
He stated that neither the people of Balochistan nor the state institutions can permit terrorism to prevail.
The Prime Minister invited all those who have gone astray to rejoin the national mainstream, stressing reconciliation and unity.
He encouraged the Jirga participants to share their suggestions so that their concerns could be addressed constructively.
While highlighting national solidarity, he announced that Balochistan would receive a substantial share of 250 billion rupees from the upcoming 1,000-billion-rupee federal development fund.
He stressed that this funding should be utilized with full transparency to ensure development reaches all parts of Balochistan.
Reflecting on his past role as Punjab’s Chief Minister, Shehbaz Sharif noted the allocation of a 10% education quota and scholarships for Baloch students in Punjab’s universities; a policy still in effect today.
He assured that no injustice will be allowed against Balochistan under his leadership. Recalling the nation’s unity during India’s recent unprovoked aggression, he urged building on that spirit to strengthen national unity and cohesion.
