 PM Sharif Inaugurated Orange Line Metro Bus Service in Islamabad

On April 18, 2022, PM Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the Peshawar Mor to Islamabad Airport-Orange Line Metro Bus service. The orange line metro bus service would provide standard daily transport to 50,000 citizens.

Frequent travelers on metro bus service in Islamabad can buy tickets online as Metro Bus APP was also introduced. Prime Minister announced that during this holy month of Ramadan, the Metro Bus service is free.

Prime Minister Sharif told the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy Ms Pang Chunxue that the KCR project is very vital to the people of Karachi, and it is a wonderful public transport system.

Prime Minister thanked great friends from China and Turkey for contributing to this public transport system directly or indirectly. “China is a great friend that stood by Pakistan throughout history and the Chinese leadership has always supported Pakistan on all international forums and contributed to building our economy,” said PM Sharif.

Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport Metro Bus route is a 25.6 KM long track developed by National Highway Authority (NHA) and Capital Development Authority (CDA). Work on the Blue Line Metro Bus Service from Rawat to Faizabad will begin soon, noted Chairman CDA.
