On January 8th, a delegation from Pakistan’s Capital Development Authority (CDA) embarked on a significant visit to the Wansheng 20 MW rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project in Chongqing, China. The project, executed by PowerChina Chongqing Engineering Cooperation, stands as a testament to the growing collaboration between the two nations in the realm of sustainable energy.
Guided by Tu Yongguo, the General Manager of the Overseas Business Division of PowerChina Chongqing Engineering Cooperation, the delegation explored key facilities of the project. These included the rooftop photovoltaic array, inverter operations, and the prefab equipment cabin, providing the visitors with valuable insights into the practical applications, benefits, and the sustainable power supply process inherent in the rooftop distributed photovoltaic system.
Imran Muhammad, leading the delegation, expressed admiration for the project and underscored the significance of green energy in addressing environmental challenges. The project’s remarkable annual electricity generation capacity of 14 million kilowatt-hours translates to saving 40 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by an impressive 90 million tons. This aligns seamlessly with Pakistan’s ambitious goals of achieving sustainable green development, leveraging the nation’s abundant solar resources.
Highlighting the close strategic partnership between China and Pakistan, Imran Muhammad expressed eagerness to deepen the exchange and cooperation in energy construction with PowerChina Chongqing Engineering Cooperation. This sentiment emphasizes the importance of cross-border collaboration in advancing sustainable practices.
Following the exploration of the project, both delegations engaged in fruitful conversations, delving into mutual areas of interest. Tu Yongguo took the opportunity to introduce PowerChina Chongqing Engineering Cooperation’s international business development strategy and core strengths. As a result of these discussions, the two parties expressed a preliminary intention to collaborate in the fields of green energy and energy infrastructure
