Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to organize Hajj 2026, ensuring smooth services and improved facilities for Pakistani pilgrims. The pact covers both government and private Hajj schemes and follows Saudi guidelines for safety and logistics.
The agreement was signed in Jeddah by Saudi Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdulfattah Bin Sulaiman Mashat, and Pakistan’s Secretary for Religious Affairs, Dr. Syed Ata-ur-Rehman. Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman appreciated Saudi Arabia’s efforts in hosting pilgrims and confirmed that Pakistanis will receive high-quality services similar to previous years.
Officials emphasized that pilgrims with certain chronic or contagious illnesses will not be allowed to perform Hajj. The agreement ensures careful management of accommodation, transportation, and rituals to provide a safe and organized experience for all.
Both countries will maintain close coordination on health protocols, service quality, and logistics. This approach aims to make the pilgrimage smooth and efficient, reflecting strong Pakistan-Saudi cooperation in religious affairs.
