Pakistan reaffirms commitment to SCO cooperation and willingness to uphold the Shanghai Spirit.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s proactive and positive engagement within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), emphasizing the country’s focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, transport, and connectivity.
During his meeting in Islamabad with SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s deep-rooted relations with SCO member states and reiterated the nation’s dedication to promoting the core values of the “Shanghai Spirit.”
Yermekbayev praised Pakistan for its active role and participation in SCO-related initiatives and programs.
The two leaders had a meaningful exchange of views on the SCO’s key focus areas. They discussed potential avenues for collaboration in sectors such as transportation and logistics, energy and food security, public health, e-commerce, and sustainable development through the green economy.
