Google has officially expanded its AI Plus plan to 40 new countries, including Pakistan, aiming to boost digital productivity and creativity through accessible AI tools. The plan was initially introduced in Indonesia earlier this month and received a strong reception.
According to Google Pakistan’s Country Director, Farhan Qureshi, the rollout reflects the company’s commitment to fuel Pakistan’s digital transformation. He highlighted that the growing use of AI in Pakistan shows the country’s vibrant digital landscape and creativity, which Google now intends to strengthen further with enhanced access.
Features of Google AI Plus
Subscribers will gain higher limits for AI image generation and editing in the Gemini app, expanded access to Gemini 2.5 Pro for advanced queries, and Veo 3 Fast for AI-powered video generation across Gemini, Whisk, and Flow. The plan also integrates Gemini into Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, while offering 200GB of storage across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail.
Additionally, users can share these benefits with up to five family members, making it a cost-effective option for households and small teams.
Pricing and Availability
The Google AI Plus plan in Pakistan is available for Rs1,400 per month, with a special 50% discount for first-time subscribers during the initial six months.
Government’s AI Push
The launch comes after Pakistan’s IT Minister, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, met Google’s regional AI team in July to explore strategic collaboration in training, education, and workforce development. This aligns with the government’s ongoing focus on integrating AI into national growth.
With the rollout, Pakistan joins a growing list of countries where Google is making advanced AI accessible, aiming to reshape how people work, create, and learn.
