Pakistan and China have entered new cooperation agreements focused on building advanced silos and cold chain infrastructure to modernize agricultural storage across the country. The initiative targets improved handling of essential food grains.
The agreements were concluded during a bilateral agriculture investment forum that connected private sector firms with technology providers. Chinese companies will support the development of temperature-controlled storage and modern silo systems for key crops.
Experts believe the move will significantly cut post-harvest losses, protect crop quality, and improve supply chain efficiency. Enhanced storage capacity is also expected to help stabilize markets and support future export growth.
