Pakistan and China formalized several cooperation agreements, including those for Pakistan’s Climate Information and Early Warning System Project, during the 3rd China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Blue Economy Cooperation.
Luo Zhaohui, Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), reiterated CIDCA’s commitment to partnering with Pakistan to implement these critical agreements, according to APP.
Luo highlighted CIDCA’s active role in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), executing the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and fostering stronger development collaboration between China and Pakistan for the mutual benefit of their nations and people.
Pakistan’s Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, reaffirmed the country’s dedication to enhancing development cooperation with China across diverse sectors.
Luo Zhaohui also appreciated Pakistan for consistently sending high-level delegations to China over the past three years to participate in the forum.
He underscored the strong ties between the leaders of both countries and the important agreements reached through their close communication.
Minister Iqbal expressed gratitude to China for providing a platform for regional countries to share experiences and foster collaboration, while also acknowledging China’s leadership in promoting the blue economy.
