 Pakistan, China reaffirm to further enhance existing cooperation

Pakistan and China have expressed the resolve to further enhance their existing excellent cooperation.

The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmad Bugti and his Chinese counterpart Wang Xiao Hong who is also a member of the Secretariat of CPC Central Committee in Beijing.  The meeting took place on the occasion of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum 2023 held in Lianyungang City of China.

The Interior Minister thanked the Chinese government for warm welcome and hospitality to Pakistan’s delegation.

He said that China is a time tested and all weather strategic friends.

He expressed profound appreciation on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan for the unwavering and unconditional support of the government and the people of China for Pakistan during all challenges.

Sarfraz Bugti briefed the Chinese Minister about various steps taken by Pakistan to ensure the foolproof security of Chinese in Pakistan who are working on various projects for a better future of people of Pakistan.

The Chinese Minister appreciated the strong resolve of the government of Pakistan and various measures taken by it to counter the threat of terrorism, drugs, and risks to the security of Chinese nationals and installations.

He expressed the hope that Pakistan and China can explore more avenues through capacity building and joint cooperation to defeat the nefarious designs of inimical elements.

Sarfraz Bugti thanked his Chinese counterpart for understanding of challenges and assistance in overcoming these challenges.
