Pakistan and Canada expressed readiness to enhance the implementation of existing agreements and explore new areas of cooperation during the 6th round of bilateral political consultations held in Islamabad. Both sides emphasized strengthening trade, investment, and institutional links to maximize the partnership’s potential.
The consultations were attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador Nabeel Munir and Director General (Americas), while Canada was represented by Ambassador Weldon Epp and High Commissioner Tarik Ali Khan. The discussions highlighted strategic guidance from previous high-level engagements and the shared commitment to deepen relations further.
Key sectors identified for cooperation include agriculture, agri-tech, mining, energy, climate change, artificial intelligence, ICT, education, tourism, and workforce development. Both nations agreed to encourage private sector involvement and maintain regular consultations to ensure sustainable and mutually beneficial growth
