Pakistan, Azerbaijan trade ties strengthened with new chamber inauguration in Islamabad.

Pakistan has taken another major step in enhancing investment and business relations with the inauguration of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad.

The event was attended by Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, along with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador, Khazar Farhadov, who were the chief guests at the ceremony.

Speaking at the inaugural event, Aleem Khan highlighted the significance of this milestone for both Pakistan and Azerbaijan, particularly for their business communities. He stated that the newly established Chamber of Commerce will serve as a unified platform to address investment-related matters and strengthen bilateral trade cooperation. He further emphasized that strategic partnerships and collaboration are essential for sustainable development, ushering in a new phase of trade and innovation.

Aleem Khan shared that he had visited Baku three times in the past year, reaffirming that the bond between Pakistan and Azerbaijan is deeply rooted in shared culture and mutual goodwill. He also noted that both nations have consistently stood by each other in challenging times, and this collaboration will only grow stronger in the future.

The federal minister assured Azerbaijan’s business community of Pakistan’s full support in facilitating trade and investment. He also emphasized that the Chamber would play a key role in increasing the exports of Pakistani products and fostering economic ties between the two countries.

Congratulating Ambassador Khazar Farhadov and his team on this achievement, Aleem Khan lauded their efforts and expressed optimism about further strengthening the bilateral relationship in the coming days.

In his remarks, Ambassador Khazar Farhadov expressed confidence that the establishment of this Chamber would significantly boost the existing $2 billion trade volume between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, and Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, also addressed the gathering. They welcomed the Chamber’s establishment, highlighting its role in promoting Pakistani products in Central Asian markets and attracting business delegations from the region.

The inauguration ceremony concluded with Abdul Aleem Khan cutting a ceremonial cake as the chief guest. He extended his congratulations to Ambassador Khazar Farhadov and all attendees on this important achievement.
