The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has officially unveiled the national team lineup for the Men’s U18 Asia Cup, which will be held in Dazhou, China, from July 3 to 13. The selected 18-player squad includes rising talents from across the country, many of whom have undergone rigorous training in preparation for the tournament. This event is seen as a vital opportunity to spotlight future hockey stars and forms a key part of Pakistan’s efforts to rebuild its hockey program from the grassroots, building on the encouraging performance of the senior team.
The U18 Asia Cup will feature 11 participating nations, including host country China, alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong China, Malaysia, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan. Pakistan is placed in Pool A and will compete against China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong China, while Pool B comprises Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Chinese Taipei.
Based on their group stage performance, Pakistan will either progress to the semi-finals scheduled for July 11 or move into classification matches, which will determine their final standing in the tournament.
