Pakistan aims to enhance space cooperation with China, PM Shehbaz Sharif stated as he held a meeting with delegation from Chinese space tech firm Galaxy Space.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a meeting on Tuesday, described China as a trusted friend and strategic ally, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to deepen collaboration in space technology, including satellite systems, telecommunications, and satellite-based internet.
While meeting with a delegation from the Chinese space tech firm Galaxy Space, headed by Chairman Xu Ming, the prime minister emphasized the importance Pakistan places on advancing its space technology sector.
The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s space industry and pursuing collaborative projects with Pakistani space agencies and private telecom companies.
They thanked the Pakistani government for its warm hospitality and shared that discussions with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication and SUPARCO had been highly productive.
The meeting was also attended by key government officials, including Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, PM’s Advisor Dr. Tauqir Shah, and representatives from relevant departments.
