Pak-China E-Commerce Summit secures $263.8M deals that was held in Chenggong, Kunming, Yunnan.
On November 25, during the Strategic Cooperation Summit on E-Commerce, titled “Unleashing the Digital Potential of CPEC,” held in Chenggong, Kunming, Yunnan, Chinese and Pakistani companies signed nine cooperation agreements valued at RMB 1.918 billion (around $263.8 million).
The agreements cover diverse sectors such as overseas investment, imports and exports, mineral and ore trading, agricultural goods, and the digital economy. Key companies involved in these agreements include Yunnan Yunshangyun Big Data Industry Development Co., Ltd, Jinhu International Trade (Kunming) Co., Ltd, and Northern Frontier Mines Pakistan.
Raja Nasir Ali Khan, the Minister for Planning and Development of Gilgit-Baltistan, highlighted that these agreements are anticipated to enhance trade and investment between China and Pakistan. This is especially true in emerging sectors such as digital technologies and e-commerce.
