Minister for Minorities visits Chinese Consulate to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and minority empowerment.
Punjab Minorities Minister Ramesh Singh Arora expressed that the province is strategically positioned to attract Chinese investments that will fuel development, create employment opportunities, and enhance the economy.
During a visit to the consulate on Wednesday, he met with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren and emphasized the long-standing, strong friendship between Pakistan and China.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, focusing on minority empowerment, economic progress, and enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and China.
“China has consistently supported Pakistan, providing diplomatic backing and economic aid during critical times,” stated Ramesh Arora.
He further noted that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) serves as a symbol of their partnership, offering unmatched prospects for shared growth, prosperity, and regional integration.
An official statement revealed that Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren praised the Punjab government’s efforts in improving the lives of religious minorities.
Zhao Shiren also acknowledged the government’s solar panel initiative.
“These programs are not only making a tangible impact on people’s lives but are also contributing to the province’s economic development,” he commented.
He added that China is running scholarship programs at five major universities in Punjab and is committed to expanding these efforts.
