Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) has opened online applications to acquire plots in ‘Salt and Gypsum City Karak’, which is dubbed as the “next big thing” in the southern districts of the province.
Abdul Karim Tordher, Special Assistant to Chief Minister KP on industries, told Gwadar Pro that the Salt and Gypsum City is another step towards “industrialized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, adding it will create numerous jobs in Karak and adjoining districts of Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bannu and Waziristan.
“We warmly welcome investors from China and other foreign countries in the city,” Mr. Tordher said, adding the city will attract new businesses by providing excellent facilities to the investors. The proposed city will provide jobs to more than 25,000 local people.
According to an official statement, the Salt and Gypsum City will provide a friendly environment and sustainable industrial and economic growth for the region and jobs for the local people. Huge reservoirs of salt, gypsum, uranium, oil and gas are found within the vicinity of the economic zone. KPEZDMC will ensure the provision of an integrated infrastructure with efficient road infrastructure, water supply, and uninterrupted power supply.
