PESHAWAR, Dec. 9 – Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Arshad Hussain Shah on Thursday afternoon underscored efforts to secure development projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and assured the establishment of a special security unit for international development partner projects
Speaking to journalists here during a visit to the Chinese Cultural Centre ‘China Window,’ he emphasized the importance of CPEC for Pakistan and the whole region.
Acknowledging the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, the Chief Minister commended the establishment of the China Window in Peshawar as a laudable effort to strengthen bilateral relations. The CM took a keen interest in the cultural exhibits.
He pledged to implement directives from the Election Commission and the Apex Court, focusing on maintaining peace during general elections in February.
CM Shah highlighted the government’s commitment to improving law and order, with a forthcoming Khushal Pakhtunkhwa program prioritizing durable peace and security.
On economic issues, he spoke about the efforts to address the province’s financial challenges. As part of the Khushal Pakhtunkhwa initiative, he outlined plans to equip the youth with technical skills, aiming to annually export 500, 000 skilled individuals to foreign countries.
