Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng on Tuesday emphasized the importance of ensuring safe and efficient Spring Festival travel, as well as maintaining seamless transportation and logistics operations across the country.
During an inspection of major transport hubs in Beijing, including Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing West Railway Station, He, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the need for meticulous identification and mitigation of potential safety risks.
He urged transportation departments to prepare adequately for extreme weather scenarios, maximize transport capacity, and improve travel services, particularly in areas like ticketing and transfers.
