The three-day “Gwadar Eid Savings Bazaar” was inaugurated on May 22 in Gwadar, highlighting efforts to promote women’s economic participation in the region.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by local shopkeeper Masi Pirani, reflecting growing recognition of women’s role in community development.
Focus on Women’s Economic Empowerment
Organizers emphasized that the bazaar aims to support women entrepreneurs by providing a dedicated platform for business and skill promotion.
In addition, all stalls have been reserved exclusively for women, while entry for shoppers is also limited to women to ensure a comfortable environment.
Wide Range of Eid Products Available
The bazaar features clothing, shoes, cosmetics, jewelry, mehndi, perfumes, spices, and food items. As a result, it serves as a one-stop market for Eid preparations.
Community Participation and Support
The event was attended by representatives of the RCDC council, women participants, and local community members.
Furthermore, organizers stated that the initiative reflects a broader effort to strengthen local livelihoods and encourage women-led small businesses in Gwadar.
