M Kakar Highlights Pakistan’s Commitment to Enhancing Agriculture and Welcomes Chinese Investment
Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to not only increasing agricultural production but also enhancing its processing capabilities to boost exports. His remarks came during a meeting with a delegation from China Oil and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO), led by President Luan Richeng, in Beijing.
PM Kakar emphasized the government’s efforts to develop the agriculture sector, underscoring its inclusion in the Special Investment Facilitation Council. This strategic move aims to facilitate and promote investment in the agriculture industry, further driving its growth and modernization.
The Chinese delegation, in response, expressed profound interest in investing in Pakistan. Prime Minister Kakar warmly welcomed this interest, signifying the potential for collaboration and mutual benefits in expanding agricultural and food-related industries in Pakistan.
