FoodAG expo kicks off in Lahore, showing advance Chinese tech, that included sustainable solutions for Pakistan’s food industry.
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is organizing a three-day FoodAG Manufacturing Expo from February 26 to 28, bringing together policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors focused on modernizing food production in Pakistan. South Korea, China, and Turkey are among the key participants, alongside 107 local companies. The Expo features business matchmaking sessions, live demonstrations, and panel discussions on the future of food manufacturing.
Chinese exhibitors are showcasing advanced food processing machinery, smart automation systems, and sustainable packaging solutions to revolutionize Pakistan’s food industry. Their innovations, including AI-driven quality control systems and energy-efficient food preservation technologies, aim to improve production efficiency and enhance food safety standards.
According to Ghulam Qadir, Commercial Counsellor at the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, the China Pavilion features 15 leading companies presenting cutting-edge food technology and sustainable solutions.
The Expo plays a crucial role in enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and China under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). A senior Chinese tech firm representative highlighted how the event facilitates technology transfer and joint ventures, strengthening Pakistan’s food sector and fostering long-term industrial growth.
