 Don’t Delay, Invest Today: CPEC B2B investment Conference to be held on Feb 2

PESHAWAR, Jan.26 (Gwadar Pro) – With the objective of transforming the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) into a true economic hub by establishing Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and business ventures in different sectors, the Board of Investment (BOI) Pakistan will organize a Business to Business (B2B) Investment Conference in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on February 2.

The BOI and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China were assigned the task to further the process of bilateral cooperation and it was agreed that 9 SEZs would be established across Pakistan. The B2B Investment Conference under the slogan of “Don’t Delay, Invest Today” will focus on CPEC priority sectors, facilitating cooperation and linkages between Pakistani and foreign businessmen, entrepreneurs, and academia.

It will be a platform where the BOI will facilitate matchmaking and handholding of foreign companies with their Pakistani counterparts.

The Conference will also focus on marketing sectorial investment opportunities in KP under the ambit of Industrial Cooperation under CPEC, to exhibit ready-to-launch products in Mines & Minerals, Construction/ Infrastructure, Tourism & Services, Energy, and Food Processing sectors as well as KP SEZs. The SEZs and other Industrial Parks of KP will also be brought into the spotlight.

The objectives of the conference are to create awareness about Pakistan’s investment framework and the role of BOI being the convenor of the Joint Working Group on Industrial Cooperation under CPEC. It would also help facilitate interaction by providing a suitable platform to foreign/local businessmen and entrepreneurs under the auspices of CPEC and to exhibit KP’s potential in different sectors, including ready-to-launch projects for JVs and B2B cooperation. The conference would explore possibilities of the relocation of Chinese Industries into Pakistan and address the issues faced by Chinese enterprises in Pakistan.
