Deputy PM Dar slams India’s false flag plot as he called out New Delhi during a press conference of putting civilians lives at risk.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar strongly denounced India’s “malicious and provocative” false flag operation, calling out New Delhi of trying to falsely implicate Pakistan in an attack on Indian civilians, particularly aiming to provoke the Sikh community in Indian Punjab.
Speaking at a joint press conference with DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Dar claimed India had deliberately launched projectiles within its own territory, putting civilian lives at risk to advance internal political agendas.
He characterized the act as a tactic by India to deflect from its escalating communal unrest by shifting blame onto Pakistan, thereby externalizing its domestic issues.
Dar revealed that over two dozen Indian drones entered Pakistani airspace early in the morning, allegedly targeting air defense infrastructure near Lahore. He stressed that the attack failed, as Pakistan’s defense systems remained fully functional and undamaged.
Reassuring the public, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that there was no reason for panic and expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s military readiness and ability to respond.
DG ISPR confirmed that the Indian drones were either intercepted or jammed effectively and highlighted Pakistan’s restraint in the face of such a blatant provocation.
The press conference followed intense media coverage in India surrounding an alleged “Operation Sindoor 2.0,” which claimed Indian forces had successfully destroyed Lahore’s air defense systems. Pakistani officials firmly rejected these reports as false and manipulative propaganda aimed at fueling Indian domestic sentiment.
Both officials urged the international community to take serious note of India’s unprovoked escalation and hold it accountable for actions that jeopardize regional peace.
More developments are expected as Pakistan proceeds to lodge formal protests through diplomatic channels.
