A Chinese defense spokesperson announced on Thursday that progress is being steadily made by the Chinese and Indian militaries toward resolving border-related issues.
Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, made this statement while responding to a media query about recent agreements between China and India aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation on boundary matters.
The two nations have sustained close communication on the border situation through diplomatic and military channels, achieving notable advancements, Zhang emphasized.
The spokesperson further remarked that restoring China-India relations to the right path serves the interests of both countries and their citizens.
Zhang also underlined the Chinese military’s commitment to collaborating closely with its Indian counterpart to promote greater exchanges and interactions, improve bilateral military ties, and jointly ensure lasting peace and stability in the border regions.
