On March 27, the Pakistan Civil Services Academy (CSA) and the Confucius Institute at Punjab University (CIPU) signed an agreement to provide Chinese language and cultural training to Pakistani civil servants.
The signing ceremony was held at CSA in Lahore, with key officials in attendance, including Li Haoteng, acting director of the Political and Press Office of the Chinese Consulate General in Lahore, and CSA Director General Farhan Aziz Khawaja.
Since its establishment in 2015, CIPU has played a crucial role in academic and cultural exchanges, offering training for local instructors, setting up language labs, and organizing cultural activities.
The agreement is designed to enhance the ability of Pakistani civil servants to collaborate with their Chinese counterparts, fostering long-term bilateral cooperation in education and professional development.
This initiative comes after CIPU joined the CPEC Consortium of Universities in 2024.
