August 14th, 2024 is Pakistan’s 77th anniversary of independence. At the invitation of the Punjab government, Consul General of China in Lahore Zhao Shiren attended the celebration ceremony in Hazuri Bagh in front of the Old City Lahore in the morning of the day. Du Yue, Director of the Political Office of the Consulate General, was invited to participate in the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Governor’s House and the cake-cutting celebration staged at the Lahore Museum.
On the same day, The Nation, a mainstream English language newspaper, published a congratulatory message of the Consulate General of China on Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day.
