The Confucius Institute at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (CI-UAF) has launched three new sub-campuses across Punjab, aiming to expand its influence and support China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiatives.
According to an official statement issued on Friday, CI-UAF signed agreements with The University of Faisalabad (TUF), Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS) in Bahawalpur, and Ghazi University (GU) in Dera Ghazi Khan.
The agreement signing ceremony took place at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad’s main campus. It was led by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Vice-Chancellor of UAF and Chairman of the CI-UAF Board, along with Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad of Ghazi University and Prof. Dr. Aman Ullah Malik of The University of Faisalabad. Several other senior officials were also present.
In its statement, the university reaffirmed the CI-UAF’s commitment to promoting Chinese language education, deepening cultural exchange, and enhancing academic and research cooperation between China and Pakistan.
The establishment of these sub-campuses is seen as a significant development in meeting the increasing demand for Chinese language skills in Pakistan and in further reinforcing the strong and growing partnership between the two countries under CPEC.
