On behalf of the central authorities, He conveyed congratulations and greetings to the people of the XPCC, entrusted by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
During the event, a congratulatory letter from the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission was read. The letter praised the XPCC, established in 1954 by demobilized military personnel, for its significant contributions to Xinjiang’s development, ethnic unity, social stability, and border protection over the past 70 years.
He highlighted that the XPCC has pioneered land reclamation and development within China’s socialist system, making immense sacrifices and contributions. He urged the XPCC to continue leveraging its strengths in maintaining regional stability, fostering industrial and technological growth, and using reform and opening-up to turn Xinjiang into a key gateway between Asia and Europe and a hub for China’s westward expansion.
