The Ministry of National Defense announced on Tuesday that the Western Theater Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will deploy troops to Pakistan for a joint anti-terrorism exercise, set to take place from late November to mid-December.
Named “Warrior-VIII,” the exercise will focus on joint counter-terrorism operations, including clean-up and strike missions. The two sides will conduct multi-level, mixed training in various specialties, with live troop drills simulating real combat scenarios.
This exercise marks the eighth joint military training between China and Pakistan, aimed at strengthening practical exchanges, fostering cooperation, and enhancing capabilities for joint counter-terrorism efforts.
The previous exercise in this series took place in 2019.
