The Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted routine training exercises on Saturday, involving its navy and air forces. This training focused on reconnaissance, early warning, and conducting maritime and airspace patrols near Huangyan Dao.
In a statement, the PLA Southern Theater Command indicated that certain external countries are causing disturbances in the South China Sea, contributing to regional instability.
The command reaffirmed China’s undeniable sovereignty over Huangyan Dao and its adjacent waters, stating that its forces will maintain a high state of readiness to firmly uphold national sovereignty and maritime rights, as well as to ensure peace and stability in the South China Sea.
