Chinese military conducts maritime patrol in South China Sea as a part of planned military exercises.
The Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) coordinated a naval fleet to perform combat-readiness patrols in the South China Sea from Monday to Tuesday.
According to a statement released by the PLA Army Southern Theater Command on Tuesday, this patrol was conducted as part of the planned annual military exercises.
The objective of the combat-readiness patrol is to improve joint combat capabilities and ensure the protection of peace and stability in the region, as stated in the announcement.
