China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Jin Zhuanglong, met with Apple CEO Tim Cook in Beijing on Wednesday.
During their discussion, they covered various topics, including Apple’s progress in China, online data security management, and cloud services, as reported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Jin highlighted that China has been progressively opening its telecommunications sector in recent years, providing opportunities for foreign businesses to invest and operate within the country.
He emphasized China’s commitment to promoting high-standard opening-up policies, developing the digital industry, and integrating digital technologies into traditional industries, with the goal of creating a more favorable business environment for international investors.
The minister expressed his desire for Apple to enhance its involvement in the Chinese market, boost its innovation efforts, and collaborate with Chinese companies to share in the benefits of the country’s high-quality development.
