China’s development poses no threat to the world, Zardari stated while giving an interview to the Chinese Media Group.
China’s development is beneficial for the world, as it adheres to a policy of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, stated Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. He expressed confidence in China’s peaceful rise, emphasizing its history of non-intervention and strong neighborly relations with Pakistan.
During an interview with China Media Group in Beijing, amid his state visit from February 4 to 9, Zardari shared his admiration for China’s rapid transformation. Reflecting on his past visits, he noted the remarkable progress China has made over the years.
“Every time I visit, the cities look completely different. Even Beijing feels new to me after a decade – from its buildings to the overall environment. The secret behind this transformation lies in the dedication of the Chinese people. Everyone works diligently in their respective fields, contributing collectively to the nation’s success,” he remarked.
Zardari underscored Pakistan’s deep-rooted ties with China, stressing that China’s rise should be seen as an opportunity rather than a threat. He reaffirmed his belief in China’s peaceful intentions and the unwavering friendship between the two nations.
“The rise of China is a positive development—China has never been an occupying force. As a neighboring country for centuries, Pakistan understands that China does not interfere in others’ affairs. There is no reason to fear China, and I never would. While I might be wary of some nations, China is not one of them. I have full faith in peaceful dialogue and our strong friendship,” he stated.
