China’s counter-terrorism forum gathers international consensus and explore the use of unmanned technologies in counterterrorism.
Representatives from over 50 countries gathered to analyze the evolving nature of terrorism and explore the use of unmanned and intelligent technologies in counter-terrorism at a four-day forum that ended on Friday.
During the Great Wall 2024 International Forum on Counter-terrorism, which attracted over 300 participants, the discussion centered on “Unmanned Counter-terrorism Operations,” resulting in a consensus on several key issues.
The participants shared insights on the current state of unmanned counter-terrorism operations, relevant tactics, and the development and application of new technologies.
Avom Nang Jean Jacques, defense attache at the Cameroonian Embassy in China, remarked during the closing ceremony that the forum provided valuable learning experiences and expressed confidence that the proposed measures would be implemented through collective efforts.
Since its inception in 2016, this forum, now in its fifth edition, has become a crucial platform for fostering international dialogue on counter-terrorism.
