China COSCO Shipping Corporation Ltd. issued a statement on Monday strongly rejecting the accusations made by the United States and the subsequent restrictive measures targeting China’s maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries.
The company stated that the U.S. actions are biased and founded on incorrect information.
This response came after the U.S. introduced punitive measures following a Section 301 investigation into China’s related sectors.
COSCO emphasized that these measures disrupt fair market competition, hinder the regular operations of the global shipping industry, and jeopardize its stable and sustainable growth.
The statement further warned that such actions could ultimately compromise the security, resilience, and orderly functioning of global industrial and supply chains.
