China remains firmly committed to its unwavering friendship with Pakistan and supports Pakistan’s right to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty, including its legitimate and peaceful use of water resources.
During an interview with an Indian news channel, prominent Chinese analyst Professor Victor Gao advocated for resolving water-sharing issues through peaceful and cooperative means among regional countries.
Commenting on India’s hostile actions concerning water, Professor Gao cautioned that one should not impose on others what they themselves would not accept.
He further explained that, given China’s position upstream and India being midstream in the region, it is inappropriate for India to interfere with the flow of shared water resources.
