China has warmly welcomed U.S. Senator Steve Daines’ visit and remains open to individuals from all sectors of the United States, including members of Congress, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated on Friday.
According to reports, U.S. Republican Senator Steve Daines arrived in Beijing on Thursday. When asked about expectations for his visit during a regular press briefing, Mao responded with remarks on the occasion.
Mao emphasized that China has consistently upheld the view that a stable, healthy, and sustainable China-U.S. relationship aligns with the shared interests of both nations and reflects the broader expectations of the international community.
