China and the United Arab Emirates successfully concluded the “Falcon Shield 2025” joint air force training, further strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries. The exercise was held in the UAE from December 9 to 22 and marked the third iteration of the bilateral aerial training program.
According to China’s Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, the training featured the first overseas deployment of the Chinese PLA Air Force’s J-10 fighter jets, KJ-500 airborne early warning aircraft, and YY-20A aerial refueling tanker. Troops from both sides conducted joint operations in mixed formations, focusing on command coordination and air superiority combat.
The exercise also included advanced discussions and drills on night combat using night-vision equipment, unmanned aerial operations, and battlefield search and rescue missions. Officials noted that the Falcon Shield exercises have become a key platform for enhancing practical military cooperation and contributing to regional stability.
