China Travel Mart 2024 Promotes Global Tourism bringing together exhibitors from over 80 countries and regions.
The China International Travel Mart 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, commenced on Friday in Shanghai, bringing together exhibitors from over 80 countries and regions to showcase global travel and tourism opportunities.
The three-day event has drawn participation from over 1,000 international exhibitors and nearly 600 travel agencies, with organizers facilitating more than 600 in-person buyer-seller meetings to foster collaboration and partnerships.
Spanning 53,000 square meters, the exhibition highlights various themes, including Chinese and international cultures, tourism-related technologies, creative cultural products, and tourism services, providing a comprehensive platform for industry innovation and exchange.
Organizers noted that several international travel agencies intend to use the event to conduct market research on potential tourism routes spanning different provinces and cities across China, reflecting the growing interest in the country’s travel landscape.
China has further bolstered its appeal to international travelers by introducing visa-free entry for citizens of 29 countries, including France and Germany, as part of its efforts to promote global tourism and enhance cross-border travel.
