Li made these comments during a meeting with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda at the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
He pointed out that China aims to align its development strategies with Tajikistan, with a focus on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. This partnership will enhance bilateral relations in trade, investment, mining, and agriculture, as well as in emerging fields like new energy and the digital economy. Li also stressed the need to promote connectivity and strengthen cultural, educational, and tourism exchanges to foster mutual development.
Li further affirmed China’s commitment to implementing the outcomes of the first China-Central Asia Summit, enhancing multilateral cooperation, and jointly advancing the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative. He highlighted the significance of advocating for a fair, orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization while practicing genuine multilateralism to uphold international fairness and justice.
Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda Response
Rasulzoda congratulated China on its impressive achievements over the past 75 years and expressed appreciation for its ongoing support of Tajikistan’s development. He affirmed Tajikistan’s readiness to work closely with China to fully realize the important consensus reached by both heads of state.
Rasulzoda emphasized the necessity of enhancing exchanges at all levels and promoting Belt and Road cooperation. He mentioned deepening collaboration in trade, investment, e-commerce, energy, industry, transportation, and agriculture, while also expanding efforts in emerging sectors like the digital and green economies. He identified cultural and people-to-people exchanges as critical areas for further cooperation.
Rasulzoda reiterated Tajikistan’s support for China’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, along with the three global initiatives proposed by China. He expressed Tajikistan’s eagerness to collaborate with China in promoting cooperation between Central Asian countries and China, deepening cooperation within the United Nations and SCO frameworks, and jointly upholding regional and global peace, stability, and development.
