China has expressed strong condemnation of the United States’ military strikes on Iran, particularly targeting nuclear facilities that are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to a statement from the Chinese foreign ministry on Sunday.
Responding to U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that American forces had attacked three nuclear sites in Iran, the Chinese spokesperson voiced serious concern and disapproval over the move.
The spokesperson emphasized that the U.S. actions blatantly violate the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, further escalating already heightened tensions in the Middle East.
China urged all conflicting parties—especially Israel—to immediately agree to a ceasefire, safeguard civilian lives, and return to the path of dialogue and negotiations.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace, China declared its willingness to collaborate with the international community to uphold justice and contribute to restoring peace and stability in the region.
