China Southern Airlines, a major carrier in Asia, has declared its intention to recommence flights between Lahore, Pakistan, and Guangzhou, China, starting next month. This move signifies a deepening of economic collaboration between the two nations.
This marks China Southern’s second route to Lahore, following the resumption of the Lahore-Urumqi route in June. The air route is set to operate three return flights weekly, accommodating approximately 177 passengers per flight.
The Lahore-Guangzhou route has historically served as a vital conduit for trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and China. The revival of flights on this route is anticipated to positively impact various sectors, including business, tourism, and education.
Notably, the resumption of these flights is expected to facilitate and enhance trade and business activities between Pakistan and China. With both countries sharing robust economic ties, the availability of direct flights is poised to streamline the movement of goods, thereby further solidifying bilateral trade relations.
