China, Singapore to hold joint military exercise in November focusing on joint urban counter-terrorism.
The Chinese and Singaporean militaries will conduct the Exercise Cooperation-2024 joint army training in central China’s Henan Province in late November, a Chinese defense spokesperson announced on Friday.
Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, stated that the upcoming exercise, which will focus on joint urban counter-terrorism operations, aligns with the annual plan and mutual agreement between both nations.
Zhang highlighted that the training aims to deepen practical cooperation and enhance the joint counter-terrorism capabilities of the two militaries.
Exercise Cooperation is a longstanding collaboration initiative between the two sides, with this year’s training marking its sixth iteration.
